Medical Manufacturing Investments & Partnerships
Over the last couple of years, BDK has seen a number of projects, investments and partnerships with healthcare and medical manufacturers which has led us to install new machines and expand our cleanroom.
These events include:
- Our partnership with the leading water-based adhesives tape manufacturer, ATP Adhesive Systems Group
- Launching our innovative system to automate and speed up the traditional saturation process used in the manufacture of medicated wound dressings
- Our funded project with CodiKoat to develop an antimicrobial and antiviral coating to kill bacteria and viruses on any surface in seconds
- Being appointed as a 3M Medical Preferred Converter, official recognition as specialists in every aspect of medical converting
At BDK, we consistently aim to expand our capabilities in order to increase our ability to offer more for our customers. This means, investing in the equipment and facilities in order to do so.
BDK Cleanroom & Quality Management
The further expansion of our Class 10,000 / ISO 7 Cleanroom manufacturing space accommodates our current capabilities as well as future, potential opportunities. Our cleanrooms are bio-burden controlled and monitored to maintain our high quality standards.
Every day, we undertake pressure checks to ensure the HEPA filters and every month, Environmental Monitoring checks are performed to check the bio-burden. These results are consistently excellent alongside our robust quality control systems ISO9001 and ISO13485. BDK are committed to excelling in the manufacture of medical and healthcare components and our facilities and expansion reflect this.
